Situated just off the M8 motorway, the SECC is within five minutes drive of the city centre and 15 minutes from Glasgow Airport. The SECC has its own railway station and bus terminal linking with Glasgow’s excellent public transport system.

TRAVELLING BY CAR

The SECC is just off junction 19 of the M8 motorway with on-site parking available for 3000 vehicles. Disabled drivers should use Car Park 3, entered from Finnieston Street.

BY RAIL

Glasgow’s Central Station is connected with every city in the UK. The SECC has its own dedicated railway station allowing easy access from the city centre. Six trains an hour run from Glasgow Central Station Platform 15 bringing the visitor to the SECC front door in 10 minutes.

The SECC is 15 minutes away by direct motorway link from Glasgow Airport.

The website for Glasgow airport has plenty of useful information for visitors arriving by air.  The bus service below may be of particular interest to those coming to Model Rail Scotland, its route provides a good link between the airport and SECC (20 mins) and onwards to the city center including many of the main Glasgow hotels.  A route map and timetable are available on the site.
