The S Scale Society, founded in 1946, brings together railway modellers working to a scale of 1:64. As there is only limited trade support for this scale in the UK, a great deal has to be scratch-built, so modellers can build exactly what they want, in the way they want. Some of the results can be seen on the Society's website in the Gallery section.

Stranraer to Ayr Line Support Association (SAYLSA) is a group that has been launched in a bid to ensure the future well-being of the Ayr to Stranraer rail line. The move follows concern about the line, particularly the section south of Girvan, once Stena relocates its ferry services to Cairnryan in Spring 2009.

The Scalefour Society promotes the use of a track gauge of 18.83mm and the wheel and track standard of Protofour for modelling UK outline in 4mm scale. It provides technical information to its members and regular newsletters to assist in building to Scalefour standards.

Set up in 1983, the aims of the association are to preserve Glasgow Duntocher Tramcar 1016. After several moves over the years 1016 is now being restored in the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust premises in Bridgeton.

The Strathspey Railway, located in the Central Highlands of Scotland, runs between the communities of Aviemore, Boat-of-Garten and Broomhill. With the Cairngorm Mountains at close hand the area is a favourite tourist attraction for its natural beauty and the wide range of outdoor pursuits that such an area can offer. The railway aims to offer the visitor an experience of a railway of the 1950s to 1960s period. Why not take a trip on the train to re-capture the nostalgia of this era?

WENSLEYDALE RAILWAY ASSOCIATION |

The Wensleydale Railway Association (WRA) is a membership body which campaigns for the reinstatement of the railway from Northallerton to Garsdale. It established Wensleydale Railway plc which is now responsible for the operation of the existing line. The WRA supports the development of the Wensleydale Railway with fund raising and its members provide the volunteers who work for the plc and make the line viable.
